Important Fraud Prevention Notice
Fraud Alert: Beware of Scam Calls & Text Messages
We want to make our members aware of an increase in fraud attempts where scammers are impersonating financial institutions and using phone numbers that appear to come from Policemen’s Federal Credit Union.
What You Should Know
Fraudsters may call or text pretending to be from Policemen’s FCU. They may claim there is suspicious activity on your account, debit card, or credit card and try to create urgency to get you to act quickly.
In some cases, they may:
Ask if you approved a charge
Tell you to reply “YES” or “Y” to a text message
Attempt to verify personal or banking information
If you did NOT initiate the call, do NOT respond to any text message or provide any information.
Remember:
Policemen’s FCU will NEVER ask for:
Your full debit or credit card number
Online banking passwords
PIN numbers
Security codes
Gift card purchases
Money transfers to “protect” your account
If You Receive a Suspicious Call or Message:
Hang up immediately
Do not click links or respond to texts

If you are ever unsure who you are speaking with, please hang up and call us directly.
